I made Chrome the default, paid for SynkMark, rebooted and set Bumpr as the default again.

Well, I don't know.  We've been using the same system for over ten years now and this has never happened before.  I might check out Bumpr.

I tried to buy Synkmark.  I clicked on the link to buy, and it pulled up Bumpr, and when Bumpr tried to select my browser, it failed (that never happened before).   I kept trying until I got Error: 49222   Cannot find a License for your Mac in our database of undelivered licenses.      (https://getbumpr.com/)
