We fixed a couple other issues regarding Google Bookmarks today.

Same drill as in the previous message.  Anyone having trouble with Google Bookmarks, please download Bookdog 5.3.18 from here:

http://sheepsystems.com/bookdog/beta/Bookdog.zip

Thank you!

Looks like there may have been some changes in Google's Google Bookmarks service.  We've released a beta version of Bookdog which should fix this and a couple other issues.

We'll appreciate anyone who gives it a try.  Download Bookdog 5.3.17 from here:

http://sheepsystems.com/bookdog/beta/Bookdog.zip

As always, you can report any issues either on the forum here or to support@sheepsystems.com.  Please start another thread if an issue does not involve saving to Google Bookmarks.

Thank you!

Indeed, Google has made some protocol changes, at least in their service to California.  We've just published Bookdog 5.3.11 which fixes the problem reported by Chris.

Anyone using Bookdog and Google Bookmarks needs to update.  With prior versions of Bookdog, depending on the nature of the the changes being uploaded when you click Save, instead of getting a HTTP 502 Error as reported by Chris, you might get a silent failure; that is, changes are not registered at Google but no error is reported in Bookdog.

To get Bookdog 5.3.11, launch Bookdog and if the update is not offered automatically, click in the menu Bookdog ▸ Check for Update.

Thanks again, Chris.

Thanks, Chris.  I've verified the problem and am in the process of clearing the table.

Problem saving to Google Bookmarks

I am syncing with Google Bookmarks, on an account that used to work and has now stopped working.  The error I get is:

Error talking to google.com
SSSynchronousHTTP Response Type: 0
HTTP Status Code: 502 (bad gateway)

I'd appreciate some help with this.

FYI: I'm a Google employee and this is an @google.com account, so it's possible this is new behavior (like the GALX problem in the most recent Bookdog release).  It's worth fixing since this will eventually be released for other users.
