Yes, BookMacster is kind of still for early adopters who really needed it.  The next version will be much easier for new users, and people who only want bookmarks sorted, to get into.

Regarding Help bringing up a blank window, either you got an incomplete download, or you didn't wait long enough.  Apple Help Viewer can be really slow.

Finally, Bookdog works fine in Snow Leopard.  If you didn't transfer your Home Folder and Bookdog says you need a license, use our Lost License form:
