I could not get the "tab" key to  work.
The new menu item and keyboard shortcut have now been added and tested in BookMacster 1.12.6, which, if I've done the math correctly, will be published within the next 38 hours .  Monday evening in California.

Hi
Can I use system pref-keyboard short cuts to create a keyboard shortcut for Quick search? I could not get the "tab" key to  work.
Thanks
Joe

Hi Jerry
What is the keyboard shortcut to get to the quick search box?
There is none.  Supposedly, you can get to it with the tab key.  I've just entered an issue in our bug tracker to add a keyboard shortcut for that.

Hello, Joe.

Thank you for the question.  BookMacster provides two search mechanisms, and searching within comments is possible in both.

1.  Quick Search.  The Quick Search is the search field in the toolbar of a bookmarkshelf window.  Activate the Content tab, click the little magnifying class.  A little menu will appear.  Switch on the item Comments by clicking it so that a checkmark appears.

2.  Find tab.  For heavy-duty searches, click the tab Reports, then Find.  You'll see the default "predicate" which is "Type is bookmark".  Click the first popup and change it to "Comments contains" or whatever you want.

Let me know if I misunderstood the question.

Hello
I see that it is not possible to search by words typed into the comments box in the inspector. Is that correct?
Thanks
Joe
