BookMacster 1.16.4, with this issue resolved, has now been published on the beta channel.  All users can get it in the usual way.

We've completed our study and implementation of its results.  BookMacster 1.16.4 no longer normalizes this type of URL.  BookMacster 1.16.4 will be published after we work out some administrative details, probably today or tomorrow.  Stay tuned here.

Hello, RM.  This involves URL normalization, which is a tricky topic.  I am studying it and shall reply again after I'm certain of the answer.

I have a couple of wikispaces addresses in my bookmarks with a "+" in the name [Moderator note: The poster obviously means url]: wiki.siframework.org/Health+eDecisions+Homepage. I can put that in a Safari bookmark but when it's imported into BM, it's changed to wiki.siframework.org/Health%2BeDecisions%2BHomepage and when I click on that it does not work. Even if I manually change the name in BM, it will not stick, changing to the %2B  string when saving. Who is the culprit here?
