Hello, Mercilless.  The proper way is…
  • Before you begin, click the Syncing button in the toolbar, to Pause syncing.
  • Do your editing.
  • When done edting, click the Syncing button in the toolbar again, to Resume syncing.  BookMacster will prompt you to Export.
The icon in the button indicates whether syncing is Paused or Active, as shown in Section 3.1 of of BookMacster's Help Book.

Pause Syncing usually overkill, but it avoids conflicts in case some other event changes your bookmarks in a browser while you are editing.  The important thing is that you export after you are done editing.  That copies all of your edits into the web browsers, overwriting any old data.

Whenever I edit bookmarks in a browser BookMacster Agents will undo the changes.  The only changes saved are when adding a bookmark.

What is the proper procedure to edit bookmarks?
