Hello, Wizard.

Thank you for the report and offer to assist.  Are you sure you have iOS 6.1.4?   My iPad says it's up to date with iOS 6.1.3.

Anyhow, we did our usual test with a couple thousand bookmarks changes and don't see any such problem today.  And although it seems pretty unlikely that changes exported by BookMacster could contain some bomb that survive through Safari on your Mac, up to iCloud, down from iCloud and finally cause Safari to crash on an iOS device, we shall check it out anyhow!  If there could be such an issue, it is likely triggered by something in your bookmarks, and you could help by sending us your bookmarks data.  Please do this when you have a few minutes:

• Activate BookMacster
• Click in the menu: Help ▸ Trouble Zipper

Trouble Zipper may take a few seconds to download.

• For Question B (Bookmarks), answer "Include Bookmarks".
• In the list which appears, choose "Safari".
• For Question L (Sync Logs), answer "Include Sync Logs".
• For Question F (Files), answer "Manually", and choose your BookMacster .bkmslf which was synced to Safari.
• Send us the resulting .zip as instructed.

Thank you.

iOS Safari crash from modified bookmarks

Used BookMacster to verify and alpha sort Safari 6.0.5 bookmarks on MacBookPro under OS X 10.8.4. Have iCloud set to sync bookmarks to an iMac also running same versions.

No problems on either OS X machine. However, two iPads that also sync 'Safari' [bookmarks] under 6.1.4 started crashing immediately after iCloud sync. Any attempt to manually enter an address or search resulted in instant full crash.

Reverting to full, encrypted backups did not resolve issues on either iPad.

Today spent an hour with AppleCare purging all bookmarks from all computers and iOS devices -- resetting bookmarks -- and restoring both devices from full encrypted backups.

Something in BookMacster modified bookmarks caused crashes on both iOS devices that were previously working correctly before bookmarks were modified and synced.

Eager to work with the developer to see what issue could be -- and how to prevent in future.
