How do I make the file in Dropbox the default? Can't find anything in Preferences.
It's not in Preferences because BookMacster does not have a "default" document.  Any document can open automatically, or not, when BookMacster launches, and there can be more than one such opening.  The setting therefore is in the document window.  Click the Settings tool, then the Open/Save and you'll see a checkbox labelled Automatically open this document when BookMacster launches.  Switch it on or off, in each document, as desired.

Unrelated comment: Boy is the type tiny in this text box I'm typing in! The size popup says 11 point but it is microscopic on my screen.
Yes, we use off-the-shelf forum software, YaBB.  We like YaBB because of its very good spam resistance.  But I think this YaBB has a bug which causes your preferred text size to occasionally change to the minimum of 6 points.  You can fix it using the Text size control at the bottom of the Message-editor field.  It's just above the emoticons.

It's working on my second Mac, with one issue: when I launch BM it always opens its original (empty) file.

How do I make the file in Dropbox the default? Can't find anything in Preferences.

Hello, Rob.

Good question.  No setup would be required for this.  Just move it…

• Open your .bkmslf document file.
• Click in the menu: File > Move to….
• Navigate into your Dropbox folder.
• Click Move.
• Wait for Dropbox to do its thing.
• On your other Mac, open the .bkmslf document file.

Subsequently, you may notice that BookMacster watches its open document files.  Therefore, when BookMacster on Mac A updates a .bkmslf file, and Dropbox mirrors the changes to the .bkmslf file on Mac B, if this .bkmslf is open on Mac B, BookMacster on Mac B will automatically close the document and re-open it to get the changes from Mac A.

Sorry if this is already covered somewhere but I couldn't find it…

I have a master bookmarkshelf that is not synced to any browsers. I would like to keep it in Dropbox so it can be accessed and updated from BookMacster on another Mac.

What setup is required on each Mac?
