One other thing you could do…

• Activate Firefox.
• Click in the menu : Help > Troubleshooting Information
• By Profile Folder, click the button Show in Finder.  A Finder window will open.
• In the window that opens, open the subfolder Extensions
• In that subfolder, perform a secondary click (right-click or control-click) on on the subsubfolder named firefoxextension@sheepsystems.com.  A contextual menu will appear.
• From the contextual menu, click "Compress".  An .zip file will appear.
• Drag the .zip file to your Desktop and send to me.  I'll be able to look and see whether the menu items are enabled.

"Activate Firefox" means to "make Firefox the active application, by launching if necessary".   The "active application" is the one whose name shows next to the  apple in your menu bar.

The only other idea I have now is to de-activate some of those other extensions.

Not sure what you mean by "activate"?

The add-on shows as yours, see attached screenshot.

While other extensions seem quite chatty on the browser console (nice one btw, wasn't aware of it before!) there is not a single entry with something "sheep"ish in it after restarting FF.

Shocked

... do you have further ideas?  Cry

I deleted all of my Firefox profiles, replaced with one profile named "abc", and it still works fine for me.  Please activate Firefox and look in the menu: Tools > Add-Ons and make sure our Sheep Systems Firefox Extension looks like the one in our screenshot below.  Then relaunch Firefox, click in the menu: Tools > Web Developer > Browser Console, and see if there are any messages regarding Sheep Systems Firefox Extension, sheepsystemsfirefoxextension, or firefoxextension@sheepsystems.com.

The test passes as in your screenshot, yes.

The profile name is a three letter, all lowercase, no whitespace ASCII string.

The "Menu Items" is actually an add-on to the add-on above.  Does that "Test" pass OK, as shown in this screenshot?

I understand that your Firefox profile is not named "default".  What is it?

I have multiple windows of FF open.
W/o a Firefox window open the plugin manager would not report the add on  working.

The single - but not default - FF profile has not changed, the installed browser version is from the stable mainline and no dev version.

What else to check?

Hello, sheepcore.

It works fine for me, as you can see in the attached screenshot.  Here are a couple possibilities:

• You have multiple Firefox profiles and are using a Firefox profile which does not have BookMacster's toolbar items installed.  By default, the new Firefox Developer Edition creates a new profile.

• You don't have a browser window open in Firefox.

Do either of those things explain it?

Add-On not visible in FF 35

Bookmacster is no longer visible in FF 35.01 / OS X 10.10.2.

Despite being uninstalled, installed again and showing up in the add-ons and reported as being up and working from the Bookmacster browser plugin manager, it does not show up in the Bookmarks menu or elsewhere ... :/

The used Bookmacster version is 1.22.31, the Add-On version is 322.
