5 days and still running well. Problem seems to be gone

Well, this is surprising but conceivable.

The macOS may have somehow got the idea that the old BkmxAgent should not be allowed to run.  The macOS uses a bundle identifier to identify an app or program such as BkmxAgent.  The BkmxAgents in BookMacsters 3.1.4, 3.1.5 and 3.1.6 are exactly the same except for different bundle identifiers.  (*)  So it is conceivable that, if macOS was killing the old BkmxAgent for some reason, a fresh new BkmxAgent would be allowed to run.

(*)  To avoid issues we've seen in the past with macOS relaunching old trashed BkmxAgents after an update of BookMacster, Synkmark or Smarky, we append a timestamp to BkmxAgent's bundle identifier every time we publish a new version of these 3 apps, and of course the apps request macOS to run a service using the new BkmxAgent bundle identifier.

Hello,
I've made the update to 3.1.6 and it seems that BkmxAgent stay awake now.
I will wait some days and will tell you if the problem doesn't come again

Hello, Mat.

Thank you for contacting us.  I think that they graying out of BkmxAgent indicates BkmxAgent is hung aka not responding.  Please try this…

• Quit or if necessary Force Quit BkmxAgent using Activity Monitor.   (To do that, select BkmxAgent in Activity Monitor and then click the circled-X button in the toolbar of Activity Monitor.)

• In BookMacster, Reboot Sync AgentBkmxAgent should reappear in Activity Monitor.

But does the problem recur sooner or later?  If so, please send us a Trouble Zip report which may give us a clue to the hang

• Run BookMacster, Synkmark or Smarky.
• Click in the menu: Help ▸ Trouble Zipper
• For Question X (Extra Extension Tests), answer "No"
• For Question B (Bookmarks and Documents), answer "Don't Include Bookmarks and Documents"
• In the "Please explain..." section, leave it blank unless you have more information to tell.
• Send me the resulting .zip via MailDrop, Dropbox or whatever, as instructed.

BkmxAgent stop to run - Sync Problem

Hello,

I use Bookmacster 3.1.5 and I'm on MacOs Sequoia since it is released
I have a sync problem with Bookmacster for a couple of days.

I'm not sure but I think the problem came with the update to MacOs Sequoia


It seems the BkmxAgent stop to run after a a few minutes as on the Monitor Activity, the line BkmxAgent is greyed after a small amount of time.

When I try to Reboot Sync Agent : there is an error
