• In your .bmco document, click the tab: Reports > Find/Replace.
• Configure the predicate like so:
All of the folloiwing are true
Added is greater than <the date you are restoring from>
• Select all of those new items and copy to clipboard.
• Restore from your earlier date.
• Paste in those new items.

If you were using Bookmacster, you could copy the new items off to a new .bmco Collection.  I'm not sure if this clipboard technique will work with Synkmark, because you may need to quit the app to do the restore.  Alternatively, you could maybe delete all items except the new ones, and export to a .xbel or .html file., then import into the restored Collection.

Bookmarks lost, but not folder structure

While looking for a bookmark today, I discovered that ALL the bookmarks in my Other Bookmarks folder are missing! However, the entire folder tree under Other Bookmarks is intact.

I have no idea how this happened, but after poking around, I know when it happened and what I was doing around that time. My question is: what is the best way to recover from this?

Background Info
Around the time in question, I was moving from my 2020 27" iMac to my new M4 Mac Mini.  To migrate bookmarks, extensions, history, & settings in Brave I did this:
  1. I turned off Synkmark on my old machine
  2. With both my old and new Macs turned on, I started a Brave Sync chain on my old Mac and on my new Mac
  3. I did a spot check on the new machine that the Brave Sync had successfully moved things to my new Mac (I obviously didn't drill deep enough to notice that although the Other Bookmarks folder tree moved, the bookmarks weren't there!)
  4. I turned off the Brave Sync chain
  5. I installed Synkmark on my new Mac
  6. I set Synkmark up to sync between Brave, Chrome, and Safari
  7. I did a spot check to see that things seemed to be as I expected in Chrome and Safari

After discovering today that the actual bookmarks in the Other Bookmarks folder tree had somehow disappeared, I poked around in ~Library/Application Support.  In ~Library/Application Support/Bookmaster/SyncSnapshots/BravePublic|Default|thisUser||| I saw this:.

It is pretty clear from looking at the file sizes that something happened between December 20, 2024 and December 27, 2024. Sure enough, when I opened up a file from 12/20 and 12/24 in bbEdit, I could see that the bookmarks themselves were there on 12/20, but not on 12/24.

In addition to the files in BravePublic|Default|thisUser||| I also have the SynkMark.bmco files in Time Machine from before and after the bookmarks disappeared.

I have made changes in bookmarks since December, so I don't want to just restore the SynkMark.bmco file from 12/20.

What is the best way of taking what I have and ending up with all of my missing bookmarks AND keeping the changes parentheses or at least the new bookmarks) that I have made since this disaster occurred?
