• Update bookmarks in Chrome on Windows.
• Assuming the PC is online, update is pushed into Google cloud.
• The next time your Mac is online, Chrome pulls update from the cloud.
• BookMacster Agent is notified of the change and pulls bookmarks from Chrome.  (BookMacster does not need to be running.)
• Because BookMacster sees that Firefox Sync is active, BookMacster launches Firefox if it's not already running.
• BookMacster pushes the change by exporting to Firefox (and other browsers).
• Firefox Sync pushes changes into the Mozilla cloud.
• The next time your PC is online, Firefox pulls changes from the Mozilla cloud.

Notice that BookMacster is the link between Chrome and Firefox, but because BookMacster is running on your Mac, syncing is delayed if your Mac is offline.

Getting everything in sync to begin with requires human intervention.  In your case, consider something like this…

• On your PC, in Chrome, Sign in to Google (which turns on Chrome's syncing).
• On your PC, in Firefox, turn on Firefox Sync.
• On your Mac, in Chrome, Sign in to Google (which turns on Chrome's syncing).
• On your Mac, in Firefox, turn on Firefox Sync.

At this point, I'd wait 30+ minutes to make sure that all has stabilized, then spot check some bookmarks that were known to be previously on only one machine and make sure they're on both.

Now you've got all of your Chrome Mac+Win bookmarks in Chrome on your Mac, and all of your Firefox Mac+Win bookmarks in Firefox on your Mac.  From this point you can follow our instructions to begin syncing, in BookMacster Help.  The short version is…

• Create a New Bookmarkshelf with Clients Safari, Chrome, and Firefox as Clients, and import from all.
• You'll probably want to then use the Find Duplicates and Consolidate Folders commands in BookMacster to clean things up, then do any manual reorganization you want, delete obsolete bookmarks, etc.,
• Turn on BookMacster Agents (syncing) which will prompt you to Export (to all).

Hello, Merciless.  Yes, BookMacster is compatible with the Sign in to Google syncing feature of Chrome and with Firefox Sync.   When BookMacster 1.14 or later need to export to Chrome or Firefox, BookMacster checks whether or not you internal sync is active in the target browser, and if so it makes sure that the target browser is running (launching them if necessary), so that they can do their own sync after accepting BookMacster's export.

Anyone using BookMacster in tandem with other sync services should be aware of Sync Loops.  What you want to do will not create a Sync Loop and will work.  For future reference, BookMacster's Help Book has more information on Sync Loops.
