I wish I'd known about the life preserver at the time of the initial Export to Chrome failures.

Something must have changed in BookMacster (or possibly Chrome) because when I try the Export to Chrome now, it makes it thru "Waiting for Chrome (1/3)" and hangs at "Waiting for Chrome (2/3)," with the progress bar frozen at 2%.

After waiting 5-10 minutes, the Export Failed window appeared.

As soon as I finish this report, I'm sending the email from the life preserver button.

Hello, Ward.

Try again, and if it still fails, see in the lower left corner of that error dialog you took a screenshot of there is a button with a life preserver icon on it.  Click the life preserver.  It will produce an email message containing some interesting data.  Send us the message and we'll go from  there.

Export to Chrome fails -- "Waiting for Chrome"

I'm restarting my migration of bookmarks from OmniWeb to Safari, Firefox and Chrome on 10.6.8.

Import from OmniWeb and export to Safari and Firefox worked flawlessly.

But export to Chrome 27.0.1453.116 is failing every time.  After an initial flurry of messages in the footer status bar, the progress bar freezes at 50% with the message "Waiting for Chrome (1/3)..."

After 10-15 seconds, the attached Export Failed message appears.

I tried a couple of things that didn't help:
  • Turn off Chrome's syncing with my Google Account.
  • Quit Chrome.  Export from BookMacster relaunches Chrome.
What else can I do?
