Can I sort as- or descending without having to select bookmarks first and then having to select the sorting from the "Selection" menu?
The Sort Now, by… command is also available in the contextual menu, which is revealed with a secondary click (right-click or control-click).  But we don't have a way to sort descending.

Why aren't the sort arrows clickable to define the sort order?
I think you are referring to the popup arrows in the column headings.  They are not sort arrows.  They are popup menus which you can click to redefine which attribute the column shows.  We thought this was a better use of click the column heading than sorting.  The alternative is, used by many apps, is to have a View menu or submenu with a list of columns in which you switch on and off checkboxes for columns to appear or not, or a preference tab with a bunch of checkboxes.  I've always found those to be annoying and difficult to discover.

That gets me into the folder as well, I see.

OK, I see why that would be useful if you want to search for composite criteria.  I've added it to our list of feature requests.

Let me suggest a workaround for now.

  • In the Quick Search field in the toolbar, type part of the name of the folder.
  • Hit 'return' if nothing happens.  The Content tab will become activated and some folders and bookmarks will appear.
  • Select the folder whose bookmarks you're interested in.
  • Above the Name column heading is a switch for Table Mode vs. Outline Mode.  Switch it to Outline Mode.  In Outline Mode, a disclosure triangle will appear to the left of the selected folder name.
  • Click the disclosure triangle.  All of the bookmarks in that folder are now visible.

What do you think of that?

Yes, I'd like to be able to search for bookmarks in a specific folder within the "Find" subtab for "Reports".

Hello, sheepcore.  Do you mean in the Find subtab?  Just to be clear, tell us what you'd like to be able to do.

Could you add folders to the criteria available for reports?
