Hello coocoo,

Thank you for trying.  There's no way to un-hang an app without a developer tool.

22,000 bookmarks is more than average, but we test our apps with that many routinely.  If you wouldn't mind sending us your data, I'd like to see what the hang-up is.  To do that, after force-quitting and re-launching,

• Activate Smarky.
• Click in the menu: Help ▸ Trouble Zipper
• For Question B (Bookmarks), answer "Include Bookmarks"
• In the list which appears, choose at least "Safari"
• For Question L (Sync Logs), answer "Include Sync Logs"
• For Question F (Files), answer "Search"
• Send me the resulting .zip as instructed.

I am trying to use any of these products to fix my Safari bookmarks, which are completely hosed. There is a decade of duplicates (over 22,000 marks). When I run Smarky, it takes hours to process to the point where I can run a search for duplicates, which it does in another few hours but then hangs at the point of loading window. In the case there is no hope here, is there a way to just flush all the marks and start over? I'd rather not do that, but not sure what else to do with this mess. thx!
