To ensure smooth sailing, Synkmark itself and all synced browsers must begin their syncing life with exactly the same collection of bookmarks and folders.  That happy condition is a result of Synkmark's Export to All menu command.  So, be sure that you execute a Export to All after adding Firefox to the list of browsers to be synced, just before quitting Synkmark.  Synkmark should prompt you to do this when you comand it to quit, but make sure you do.

I had gone through the page before prior to posting but went through it once again.  I made one change in Chrome and waited for a few minutes and the bookmark appeared in Safari.  The Sync log also shows the change.  Perhaps the issue was with Firefox and I didn't pursue a resolution before removing it from the syncing.  I also have misinterpreted the Sync Log, thinking it was showing pending syncs but now I understand it is showing what was synced.

If I decide to add Firefox back into the mix, I will be more diligent when I set it up.  Are there any recommendations to undertake when one has two browswers syncing successfully and wants to add an additional one?

Thank you for posting the report, Gilbert.

Everything looks perfectly normal in the report.   Our agent process (BkmxAgent) is sitting pretty and waiting for bookmarks to be changed in Safari or Chrome.  Surprising that it does not work.  Before we really get into the weeds unnecessarily, please review our Top Reasons for Syncing Trouble and let us know if anything in there clicks with your situation.

Synkmark not syncing automatically anymore

Hello,

I have used Synkmark for several years and find it invaluable.  I sync my bookmarks between Chrome and Safari.  It has been working great and I recently decided to add syncing to Firefox as there are some websites that work better with it.  However, since adding Firefox, the bookmarks stopped automatically syncing.

If I make changes in a browser the changes wouldn't sync.  If I open Synkmark, I can see the list of changes waiting in the Sync Log, but they only propogate if I pause syncing (by clicking on the yellow Syncing button and then reenable syncing by clicking on the red exclamation Syncing button.

I thought the issue might be with Firefox, so I removed Firefox as one of the browsers to sync, but the issue still continues with Chrome and Safari.  When I make changes, they don't sync unless I open Synkmark and pause and reenable syncing.  I must have changed something but not sure what to check.

I am running Synkmark on macOS Sonoma on an M1 Mac mini.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!
