You can create multiple Collections syncing to the same profiles, but normally they will sync all bookmarks and folders, so all three of your Collections would end up being the same.

If you were using different browsers instead of different profiles, you might get what you want by using Export Exclusions and in tab Settings > Clients, switching off Delete Unmatched Items and setting Merge by to None, and then you could only delete bookmarks when in BookMacster.  But you want separate profiles in the same browser.

And even if all of this did work, one thing for sure is that is you would have a lot of headaches.

Since you use multiple browsers anyhow, I would consider simply using different browsers for each life area, instead of different profiles.  I realize that's a far cry from what you want, but simplicity has value.

Syncing with multiple collections

I have basically three profiles for every browser I use. One for my sidejob, another for my work, and a third one for personal stuff.

Some bookmarks are common to all these profiles (think Google Calendar, Spotify, etc). I want to have a collection (Collection 1) to manage these bookmarks, and I would want them to sync to all profiles.

Sidejob and Work have shared bookmarks. So I want to have a collection (Collection 2) that keeps these common bookmarks (think reference bookmarks, as they both of them are for law practice). They also have their own separate bookmarks (think admin tasks, bills, etc). So I'd like to have one collection for each (Collections 3 and 4), so that the "private" bookmarks are synced across browsers, and at the same time to sync with the common bookmarks and the shared bookmarks (Reference bookmarks).

Personal shares the common bookmarks (Collection 1)and its private bookmarks (Collection 5)

- Common Collection (1)
     * Common Bookmark 1
     - Common Bookmarks Folder 1
           * Common Bookmark 2

- Shared bw WORK and SIDEJOB Collection (2)
     * Shared Bookmark 1
     - Shared Bookmarks Folder 1
           * Shared Bookmark 2

- SIDEJOB Collection (3)
     * Private Sidejob Bookmark 1
     - Private Sidejob Bookmarks Folder 1
           * Private Sidejob Bookmark 2

- WORK Collection (4)
     * Private Work Bookmark 1
     - Private Work Bookmarks Folder 1
           * Private Bookmark 2

- PERSONAL Collection (5)
     * Private Personal Bookmark 1
     - Private Bookmarks Folder 1
           * Private Bookmark 2

- SIDEJOB Profile
     * Common Bookmark
     * Shared bw SIDEJOB & WORK Bookmark
     * Private Sidejob Bookmark
     - Common Bookmarks Folder
           * Common Bookmark
     - Shared bw SIDEJOB & WORK Bookmarks Folder
           * Shared Bookmark
     - Private Sidejob Bookmarks Folder
           * Private Bookmark

- WORK Profile
     * Common Bookmark
     * Shared bw SIDEJOB & WORK Bookmark
     * Private Work Bookmark
     - Common Bookmarks Folder
           * Common Bookmark
     - Shared bw SIDEJOB & WORK Bookmarks Folder
           * Shared Bookmark
     - Private Work Bookmarks Folder
           * Private Bookmark 6

- PERSONAL Profile
     * Common Bookmark
     * Private Personal Bookmark
     - Common Bookmarks Folder
           * Common Bookmark
     - Private Bookmarks Folder
           * Private Bookmark

In this scenario, items added to bookmarks BAR in a Browser/profile should be imported to the Respective Profile Collection (Collections 3, 4 or 5). If I later wanted to, I could copy it to the COMMON collection or the pertinent shared collection Bookmarks BAR and delete from the profile collection where it was originally imported.

If this isnt possible, I could live with these items (not inside a folder corresponding to a collection) being added to the common collection (1) and then I could move them to the correct collection under it's corresponding folder. In this way each collections bookmarks would be inside it's corresponding "root folder" inside the bookmarks bar OR the Other bookmarks hard folders.

Is this possible at all, or each profile can sync to only one collection at a time?
