I just looked at BookDog and that does a far better job of what I was looking for!
Well, probably not better but indeed Bookdog is still easier to configure for many purposes.  If Bookdog works for you at this time, that's fine.  For the time being, if you purchase a Bookdog license, it will allow you to get a BookMacster license at no cost.  Right now you have 15 months to convert, but we'll probably phase that down in the future.

Getting back to the original question, I don't believe there's any problem with importing tags from Delicious by BookMacster, but I'm retesting now.  If I find anything wrong, I'll post another reply.

I decided to give this program a try for synchronizing my Google bookmarks with Safari.  The import seems to have gone OK but I only have 10 tags or folders(???)!  There should be a lot more.  Also, I cannot see any tags/folders for imported items that were lost. Is this a bug or a "feature?"  I did not particularly like Google's version of tags (I had used Firefox's and liked that pretty well), but at least there were some -- I don't think I can live without my old tags and retagging seems to be a real pain!  I did not see any errors in the log.
