That's really weird.  I have all of these same versions, except a later Chrome version since I'm on their beta track.  But we've been through Chrome version 14 and never had this problem.

I'll give this some more thought.  I suppose we'll need your data to try and reproduce the problem.  At least, we should be able to see the garbled names in your Sync Log, which will help to suspend my disbelief.

Please launch BookMacster, click in the menu Help ▸ Trouble Zipper and send whatever you can.

I just retested importing from Safari, and it works fine for me in all cases, as shown in this screenshot…



I'd like to reproduce the problem.  Please let us know:

BookMacster version
Safari version
Chrome version
Mac OS X version
Do correct characters appear in BookMacster's Content?
Is Chrome running or not running when you do the export?

Hi,

I tried to sync the bookmarks between Safari and Google Chrome. I exported them from Safari and imported them into Ghrome, but all bookmarks are garbled in Chrome. The reason for this issue seems to be not to decode UTF-8 strings by BookMacster?

Any ideas?
