Well, a lot more happened, but the short story is that BookMacster 1.13.6 is now available.   To get it, launch BookMacster and click in the menu: BookMacster ▸ Check for Update.

Thank you for your patience, Michael.  It's fixed, but BookMacster 1.13.6 is still being tested.  The multiple profiles in Chrome turned out to be quite a messier can of worms than was expected.  We'll let you know here when 1.13.6 is available.  At this point, we're making sure that nothing was broken in the Firefox side in the process of fixing Chrome.

Hello again, Michael.  We've fixed some additional issues in this area during the last couple weeks.  I presume this is happening when you are not using BookMacster?  If so, please Pause syncing for the next couple days.  To do that,

• Launch BookMacster.
• Open your Bookmarkshelf document if it does not open automatically.
• Look at the Sync button in the toolbar.  If it has a green dot in the middle (indicating that syncing is running), click it so that it indicates a red exclamation point.

An update with this issue resolved should be available in a couple days.  I'll let you know.  You can import and export manually until then, when you are prepared for Chrome to be interrupted.  I don't think that Chrome should be losing your tabs, though.  I'll retest that.

Thank you for your patience.

using 1.13.5 and it's now happening again.  and it's really screwing things up, because my open tabs and pinned tabs are lost, it's quite ridiculous that this is still happening.  it worked for a while, but now it's not again.  nothing but issues with this software since i bought it, i wanted a set it and forget it sync, but it's always screwing something up

BookMacster 1.13.2 was published late yesterday; you'll get it next time you launch BookMacster and click in the menu: BookMacster ▸ Check for Update.

It should resolve this issue.  Let us know if you have any more trouble.

UPDATE

Resolution of this issue is going to require BookMacster 1.13.2, which will properly support multiple profiles in Chrome.  Outdoing Firefox, Chrome version 26 allows Chrome users to browse in multiple profiles simultaneously, in different windows.  Fun stuff.  However, the current version of Chrome has not yet added support for extensions like BookMacster's to get outside their box and see what profile they're operating in.  We need this to ensure that, for example, bookmark exports intended for Profile 1 end up in Profile 1 and not in Profile 2.

It looks like we now have a workaround to get out of the box for the interim.  Implementation and testing remain to be done.  We've also filed bugs with the Chrome Team regarding the omissions, so that future versions of Chrome and BookMacster will have a stable, long-term solution.

I'm not sure.  See what happens if you leave Chrome running.

Hello, Michael.

We're working on this issue.  Although there may be a workaround for your current situation, if you don't mind waiting a couple days, BookMacster 1.13.2 should fix it.
