Hello, Pete.  When BookMacster opens a Bookmarkshelf (.bkmslf) file, it does some consistency checks, and if it finds a simple problem that it can fix, it silently renames the inconsistent file by adding hash (#) symbols to its basename until the name is unique, then writes a new file with the original name.  Generally, the # files are harmless but useful only to recover lost data, and if everything in the current (non-hashed) file looks OK, you should delete the hashed files.  Their modification dates will tell you when the problem occurred.  If more # files keep appearing, then we should look into your Logs and see what's going on.  Let us know.  More info on "hash" files is near the bottom of this page:
